West Gate inaugurates the first outdoor pool surrounded by running and roller blading tracks in an office park

West Gate business park in western Bucharest, owned by Genesis Property, has inaugurated the first outdoor pool with running and roller blading tracks in Romania, located in an office park in Bucharest. The investment mounted to EUR 1.5 million, and the construction works lasted two years. West Gate is located in Militari district, near Preciziei metro station.

Over 100,000 people, employees working at the companies having their offices inside West Gate and the students of the private campus West Camp Studios, will have access to the open air pool and terrace in a 5,000-sqm modern relaxation area inside the park.

„It is the first time that such a facility is located in the same courtyard with the offices of multinational companies and at employees’ hand. At the same time, it’s another step forward to develop a <city inside a city>”, said Liviu Tudor, the president and founder of Genesis Property.

The pool has been opened since August 1 this year. It has a terrace with restaurant, 200 beach chairs, an area of mixed beach (tile and grass), a pool bar and modern locker rooms.

The water in the pool is warmed by renewable energy sources generated by solar panels. The irrigation systems are capturing the rain water and use it again to water the green spaces.

The pool tariffs are RON 30 from Monday to Friday and RON 50 during the weekend. Children aged 2 to 6 must pay RON 15, while those aged 6 to 14- RON 20. Based on the service card, the employees ad students accommodated in the West Gate Studios benefit of 50% discount for the pool every day, while the customers of Studio One Accommodation Suites have free pool access.

Among the companies that have HQs at West Gate there are Societe Generale European Business Services, Dacia Renault, Siemens, Ericsson, WNS, Citi, Accenture, Panasonic, Alpha Bank, Carestream Health and Medicover.
