“The strategic investments launched in 2024 in Gorj County are becoming a reality! In 2025, the Gorj County Council team continues to focus on economic development and creating opportunities for our community. Excellent news is that the Soceram factory in Târgu Cărbuneşti is taking shape. This major project will generate over 100 jobs in the first phase, significantly contributing to local well-being. This will become the largest AAC factory in the country, producing construction materials including for export,” Cosmin Popescu wrote on Facebook.
According to him, work is currently underway on the gas supply network and on preparing the land for other development projects. In November 2024, Cosmin Popescu announced that the financing contract for the oil factory to be built in Ţânţăreni had been signed.
