Zentiva Group, Siyiara Enterprises ake over Romanian company Solacium

Zentiva Group and Siyiara Enterprises have signed a sale contract to buy Romanian-based Solacium, together with its subsidiary Be Well Pharma. Solacium is currently part of the Dr. Maz group and owned by Siyiara Enterprises together with Trasca Alexandru-Tony.

Zentiva is happy to announce the first acquisition after the separation from Sanofi in the last quarter of 2018. Solacium completes our generic medicines business and helps us develop the OTC division and the offer for the patients and consumers in Romania”, said Nick Haggar, CEO Zentiva.

„After the takeover of A&D Pharma Group by Dr. Max, we decided to focus on three pillars of our business in Romania- the pharma retail, en-gros sales and marketing and sales. So, Solacium is a food supplement producer. We consider that, under the management of a large-scale, specialized pharma producer like Zentiva, Solacium will be able to capitalize its potential better and can significantly increase its business, by exceeding the current level,” said in his turn Leonardo Ferrandino Dr.Max President and CEO.

The transaction is pending the green light of several local authorities.
