Romanian men’s handball champions, Dinamo Bucharest, defeated on Wednesday the Swiss team Wacher Thun 35-34 (19-14) at home, a match counting for Group D of the Champions League.
After a hesitating start, when the guest team led by 5-9, the hosts improved their play and took the lead by 16-12. The score at half time was 19-14.
In the second half, Wacher Thun tried to return into the match, but never succeeded in getting closer than two goals, nevertheless, due to several personal mistakes by Dinamo players in the last seconds of the match, the final score was 35-34.
Tunisian Amine Bannour was Dinamo’s best scorer with 9 goals, followed by Nicuşor Negru 6, Kamel Alouini 5, Vitali Komogorov 4, Muhamed Zulfic 3, Seyed Mousavi 3, Răzvan Gavriloaia 2, Andras Szasz 1, Ciprian Şandru 1, Florin Acatrinei 1.
