Dinamo Bucharest men’s handball team defeated Orlen Wisla Plock (Poland) 24-21 (13-10) on Sunday and has climbed to the first position in Champions League, Group D.
The Romanian champions dominated the first half, leading 4-0, 8-2 and 13-8, at half time the score was 13-10.
In the second half Dinamo took an eight-goal lead (24-14) but in the last minutes the team had a dramatic fall, with mistakes and failed attacks, so that the visitors came close (23-20). However, Dinamo managed the end of the match and has won 24-21.

Wisla: Romanian international Dan Racoţea scored 2 goals, but was disqualified; Igor Zabic 5, Lovro Mihic 4, Michal Daszek 4, Jose De Toledo 3, Renato Sulic 1, Przemyslaw Krajewski 1, Ignacio Moya Florido 1.
In another match in Group D on Sunday: Elverum Handball (Norway) defeated Riihimeen Cocks 28-27.
Group D standings: Dinamo – 8 points, Abanca Ademar Leon 7 p, Orlen Wisla Plock 6 p, Elverum Handball 6 p, Riihimaen Cocks 5 p, Wacker Thun 1 p.
Dinamo Bucharest will play the next match on November 3 against Wisla.
