Dinamo Bucharest, men’s handball team, has written history in the Champions League as it has managed to get out of the groups and to qualify in the play-off.
Thursday evening, Dinamo defeated Wacker Thun away 33-29, and finished on the first position in Group D, 14 points, the same as Wisla Plock, but has advantage in direct matches.
After a balanced first half, when the goal difference was of only one goal in favor of the Romanian team, Dinamo managed to gain distance in the second half and secure victory.
The victory has thus sealed the highest performance in the history of the club, as never a Romanian team managed to advance from the group stage in the Champions League.
Dinamo will find out the opponents in the play-off on Saturday.
