CinePOLSKA 2018: Let yourself be seduced by film!

The 14th edition of the CinePOLSKA Polish Film Festival is taking place in Bucharest (Elvire Popescu Cinema-77 Dacia Boulevard) during November 1-6. It will be a unique opportunity to see the latest Polish movies, awarded at the most important film festivals in the world. Some of the movies are seldom screened in previews in Romania, while others can be seen only at the festival. The programme this year includes films awarded at Cannes, Berlin and Karlovy Vary.

The films of the 2018 edition of CinePOLSKA are like a mirror which is worth watching. Spectators will discover topics close to each of us-from love, passion and hatred to the fear of otherness,” says Agnieszka Skieterska,  the director of the Polish Institute in Bucharest, the organizer of the festival.

The films:

  • November 1, 20.30hr – Cold war / Zimna wojna (directed by Paweł Pawlikowski)
  • November 2, 20.30hr – Panic Attack / Atak paniki (directed by Paweł Maślona)
  • November 3, 20.30hr  – Breaking the limits / Najlepszy (directed by Łukasz Palkowski)
  • November 4, 20.30hr – Mug/Twarz (directed by  Małgorzata Szumowska)
  • November 5, 20.30hr – Silent night / Cicha noc (directed by Piotr Domalewski)
  • November 6, 20.30hr – Birds are singing in Kigali / Ptaki śpiewają w Kigali (directed by  Joanna Kos-Krauze, Krzysztof Krauze)

The films will have Romanian subtitling. Tickets can be purchased at Elvire Popescu Cinema’s booking office or in Kyralina and Humanitas book shops, as well as online at elvirepopesco.ro.

One ticket costs RON 15, RON 10 discounted price, 5-ticket pass- RON 60, 5-ticket pass-RON 35.

CinePOLSKA will tour other cities in Romania in the spring of 2019.
