The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) has issued on Friday a Code Yellow for rainfall, valid for several areas in the country, in force during Saturday, July 7, 12.00h – Sunday, July 9, 21:00h.
According to the ANM, during this interval, there will be periods of increased atmospheric instability in most of the country. There will be torrential rain, frequent electric discharges, short wind intensifications turning into storm and hail. Water quantities will exceed 20 litres per/ sqm and 30 – 40 l/sqm on isolated areas.
Moreover, during July 7, 16.00h – July 9, 21.00h the meteorologists announce the issuing of a Code Yellow for high atmospheric instability and significant water quantities as rain.
In the hilly and mountainous areas, as well as in Oltenia, Transylvania and locally in Muntenia, in short intervals or by accumulation, water quantities of rain will reach 25-30 l/sqm and of isolated areas 50-70 l/sqm.
