Meteorologists have released on Wednesday a weather warning for rain, wind and hail for most of the country, in force until Friday morning. As of Wednesday night to Thursday, Bucharest and 17 counties fall under Code Yellow for strong rainfall, in force until Thursday evening, hotnews.ro informs.
From Thursday, at 23.00h to Friday at 10.00h, it will temporarily rain in most of the country, and in the mountains, as well as in the southern, eastern and locally in the central part of the country, with water quantities exceeding 15-20 litres per square metre and on isolated areas 30-40 litres per square metre. Rain will become torrential on small areas, accompanied by electric discharges and wind gusts.
Isolated there will be conditions for hail.
As of Thursday 3.00h until 23.00h, in Bucharest and in the counties of Arges, Bacau, Braila, Brasov, Buzau, Calarasi, Covasna, Dambovita, Giurgiu, Harghita, Ialomita, Ilfov, Neamt, Prahova, Suceava, Tulcea and Vrancea heavy rain will be registered under the Code Yellow. During the second part of the night of Wednesday to Thursday (June 27/28) and on Thursday, in Dobrogea, most of Muntenia, south-eastern Transylvania, south-western Moldavia, and the Eastern Carpathians will be periods during which significant rainfall will be registered.
By accumulation or in short intervals, the water quantities will reach 20-30 l/sqm and 50-60 l/sqm. Meteorologists say it will continue to rain in most regions until Saturday.
