Romanian weather forecasters on Wednesday issued a Code Yellow warning for snowfalls, blizzards for nine counties in southern and southeastern country, including Bucharest, valid until Thursday morning.
According to the National Meteorology Administration, during February 8 at 10:00hrs up to February 9, at 09:00hrs there will be consistent snowfalls in southern Moldavia and most part of Muntenia.
The nine counties under the Code Yellow are: Giurgiu, Călărași, Ilfov, Ialomița, Vrancea, Buzău, Prahova, Dâmbovța and Argeș (the northern half), plus the Capital city.
The wind will blow with 45-55 km per hour in Călărași, Dâmbovița, as well as in Ilfov county and Bucharest, while the blasts will exceed 55-60km/h in Vrancea, Buzău and Ialomița.
At the same time, weather forecasters issued a Code Yellow alert for blaze in Bucharest and 12 counties for Wednesday: Buzău (the plain area), Brăila, Ilfov, Ialomița, Teleorman, Prahova (the plain area), Argeș (the plain area), Dâmbovița (the plain area), Giurgiu and Călărași. Glaze will be also present in Vaslui and Galați counties.
