The companies in Romania have registered a gross profit of over RON 49.9 billion in 2015, up by 42.8 percent compared to the previous year, National Institute of Statistics (INS) shows on Monday.
The highest value of the gross profit was of over RON 16.6 billion in the services sector, where there is the largest number of enterprises, ie 213,890 units. Trade firms ranked second with over RON 15.3 billion, followed by industry with about RON 14.2 billion and construction – RON 3.6 billion.
Companies’ turnover reached over RON 1.180 billion last year.
According to INS data, regarding the turnover, the highest weight was registered by enterprises having trade as main activity (39.4 percent), while construction enterprises recorded only 6.8 percent.
The structure of gross value added at factor cost by sectors in 2015, was as follows: 40.2 percent in industry, 8.2 percent in construction, 18.4 percent in trade and 33.2 percent in market services.
The total gross investment value exceeded RON 131.3 billion, up by 24.4 percent compared to 2014. The structure of gross investments by sectors is the following: industry 39.2 percent, construction 18.6 percent, trade 10.5 percent and market services 31.7 percent.
