Opus Land Development, the real estate developer of Cosmopolis residential project in northestern Bucharest, informed it would invest about EUR 20m this year to build 500 more apartments and houses, as well as a 3,500 sqm strip mall.
According to Gabriel Voicu, director New Homes division within Coldwell Banker Affiliates of Romania, manager and exclusive agent of Cosmopolis, 2015 was a good year, with a 34 pc rise in sales. Over 1,000 houses have been sold in three years.
Cosmopolis has 2,100 finished houses, lodging over 3,700 residents.
Regarding the strip mall, it will house a Carrefour supermarket, a miniPrix store and three restaurants. The mall is already 50% pre-rented and it will be concluded this summer.
The mall will also include a clinic, a petshop and vet clinic, as well as butchery, a cleanser, a car wash, a confectionery, a home design store, a beauty salon, a bistro and a store for bio products.
Two outdoor pools are in sight this year within Cosmopolis, as well as several sports grounds, while the road infrastructure will be further developed.
Cosmopolis is located in northeastern Bucharest, near the beltway, between bridges in Pipera-Tunari and Adronache-Stefanestii de Jos.
Until now, the investments of Cosmopolis project mounted to about EUR 268m, comprising houses, infrastructure, commercial locations and green spaces.
