President Klaus Iohannis has summoned a special meeting of the Supreme Defence Council (CSAT) on June 27 to discuss about upcoming NATO Summit in Brussels. The meeting is due at Cotroceni Palace at 12:00hr, the Presidential Administration informed.
The Presidency says that among the topics of discussion there will be Romania’s targets for the NATO summit in Brussels due July 11-12, 2018 and Romania’s armed forces to be made available to participate in missions and operations outside Romania next year.
„The NATO summit will be one more contribution to our safer future. It is time now to continue enhancing our security. The states of the Bucharest 9 Format have contributed to enhancing the allied position of defence and supporting our allies. We must capitalize this momentum and to make sure that NATO is ready and has the ability of carrying out its assignments,” the Romanian President stated few days ago while addressing the first plenary session of the summit of Bucharest 9 Format in Warsaw.
