Dacia cars sales in Europe increased in October by 7.7%, reaching a market share of 3.4%, up from 2.9% in the similar period in 2017, the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) informs on Thursday.
The figures refer to the EU and EFTA countries (Island, Liechtenstein and Switzerland).
The Dacia car registrations in Europe reached last month 37,929 units, up against the similar period in 2017 (35,192 units).
Renault and PSA Peugeot Citroen groups registered decreases in sales in October by 14.6% and 1.2% respectively. Volkswagen and Ford also registered decreases of 21.6% and 0.9% respectively, whereas Daimler registered higher sales by 7.6%.
In the first ten months of 2018, the Dacia cars deliveries in Europe increased by 13.2%, reaching a market share of 3.3%, up from 3% in the similar period of 2017. The Dacia cars registrations reached 443,481 units, up against last year (391,885 units)
Renault and PSA Peugeot Citroen groups registered sales increases of 4.4% and 42% respectively, whereas Ford and Daimler sales decreased by 1.5% and 3.7% respectively. Volkswagen, the largest car producer in Europe, registered higher sales by 2.5% in the first ten months of the year.
