According to the early meteorological forecasts, the winter 2018-2019 will be hard and long. The meteorologists say the first snow will fall in November and expect the months of December, January and February to register snowfalls without blizzards and deep frost.
Nevertheless, March will also be prone to snowfalls and cold weather. Extreme phenomena will affect several regions in Europe and the probability that El Nińo occurs is of 70%, according to the UN.
The World Meteorological Organisation says the warm weather caused by El Nino could take place between September and November. Temperatures higher by 1-3 degrees Celsius are expected in North America, Europe, North Africa, Eastern Asia and Middle East. In the south-eastern part of Europe precipitations will be above the average of the period.
