Ford Truck chose Romania to establish its largest headquarters in Europe, which was officialy launched on Tuesday, Lisa King – Deputy General Director Ford Otosan, Ahmet Kinay – Assistant General Manager Ford Trucks, and Emrah Duman – International Markets Director Ford Trucks, attending the event. Cefin Trucks, the exclusive importer and distributor of Ford Trucks range of products in Romania, was represented by its Founder and CEO Stefano Albarosa.
The new office is on the A1 highway, at km 13.2 in the largest industrial area of Romania and meets the highest Ford Trucks standards, providing full service: sales, after-sales services and spare parts.
“In line with our global truck strategy, Ford Trucks continues to develop an international network with distribution agreements on three continents, especially in the Middle East, North Africa, Russia and Turkey, and most recently in Eastern Europe. As we have already grown our presence in different regions of the world, Eastern Europe is now our focus market. We are very pleased to announce that this headquarters is one of the most important milestones of Ford Trucks’ distribution plan as it is our first step in Romania and the most important in Europe so far,” Lisa King stated.
The Ford Trucks HQ was launched through a rebranding, following an investment of over EUR 200,000 and concluded with a renovated building.
The new unit is covering 17,000 square meters, including a building of 3,900 sqm, a parking lot of 13,000 sqm, offices spanning of almost 1,700 sqm, service and spare parts warehouse – 3,000 sqm.
Ford Trucks’ objective is to achieve a market penetration of over 6 percent of the total volumes of its target segments. Since the launch announcement in December 2016, a considerable number of Ford Trucks units have been delivered to major Romanian customers, including Vlase International.
