Former PM Mihai Tudose, elected chairman of PSD Braila branch, will join the forces calling for Dragnea’s resignation

Former Prime Minister Mihai Tudose was elected chairman of PSD Braila county organization Thursday evening.

Mihai Tudose was the only candidate and was voted unanimously by the 227 social democrats in Brăila. The central leadership of the party was represented at the conference by Paul Stănescu, realitatea.net reports.

Mihai Tudose will represent PSD Braila to the meeting of the Executive Committee on Friday, in Bucuresti.

Mihai Tudose and PSD Braila stand against Liviu Dragnea.

PSD organizations started positioning themselves in favor or against Chairman Liviu Dragnea whose resignation has been officially asked this week in a letter signed by Gabriela Firea, Adrian Tutuianu and Paul Stanescu.

Latest information says that 20 branches of the Social Democrat Party have voiced support for Chairman Liviu Dragnea before the National Executive Committee on Friday, while 13 are asking for his resignation. 15 party organisations are still undecided regarding the letter requesting Dragnea to step down from the party helm and from the position of Chamber’s speaker.
