High-end meeting between Ponta and US companies’ representatives

Prime Minister Victor Ponta, currently undergoing a visit in the US, met in Washington the representatives of various American companies that are at the moment in the assessment process of the future investments in Central and Southeastern Europe. These companies are interested to find out the recent economic developments in Romania and the official bilateral relationships status.

The meeting, organized by AMRO (American-Romania Business Council), was attended by the representatives of ADM, Allied TechSystems, Amgen, Boeing, Cargill, Chevron, Coca-Cola, Ellicott, ExxonMobile, General Electric, Lindsay, Mega, MetLife, MoneyGram, Pike Energy, Raytheon, Smithfield and Timken, informs the Government as quoted by Mediafax.

An economic mission will be carried out by US Department of Commerce in Romania in May and the aforementioned US companies’ representatives, AMRO members, will partake of it.
