Interim Bucharest mayor, Stefanel Dan Marin, was dismissed. No agreement on the replacement reached

Interim Bucharest mayor, Stefanel Dan Marin, appointed to this office on September 15, was dismissed on Tuesday by the PNL-PSD majority in the Bucharest General Council by 37 votes for, out of the 44 councillors present.
The Prefect is expected to take note of this decision. According to Hotnews.ro sources, PNL and PSD are to hold sittings Tuesday evening in order to propose a new candidate for this office. Most likely a new interim mayor will be appointed by the end of this week, as on Wednesday and Thursday are scheduled meetings of the General Council.
Richard Radu, Liberal councillor, said Dan Marin Stefanel has not complied with the agreement for Bucharest, proposed by PNL and PSD and assumed by the acting mayor.
In turn, Dan Darabont, PSD councillor and deputy mayor said the decision to replace Stefanel Dan Marin has nothing to do with the interest of Bucharest, this is PNL scorn. “From my point of view is a great proof of irresponsibility that PNL comes after two months to change their Liberal candidate, because he had been their candidate,” said Dan Darabont.
However, PSD voted for the dismissal of Stefanel Dan Marin.
