Interior Minister Carmen Dan has filed a denunciation to the Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) against Romică Părpălea, the man who has recently filed a denunciation to DNA against PSD chairman Liviu Dragnea in the Referendum file.
Among the people denounced in this case is also Carmen Dan for deeds allegedly committed when she was prefect of Teleorman.
Now, minister Dan fired back and filed her own complaint against the indicter in the Referendum file, based on the article 207 in the Criminal Code for blackmail.
She argued that Părpălea would have filed the denunciation against her out of “revenge” and in her view, “hate is a non-patrimonial interest”.
“It’s my responsibility to defend myself against any abuse”, Carmen Dan said, arguing she didn’t know Părpălea.
“This man has filed a denunciation against me, arguing I would have exerted some actions of alleged influence peddling and bribe taking. I have never met this man during my entire professional career. There are another interests behind him,” the Interior minister stated, adding that she didn’t speak to PSD chairman Liviu Dragnea about her action.
Părpălea is the one who had denounced Liviu Dragnea in the referendum file, where the SocDem leader had been sentenced to two years on probation.
