Iranian music interfuses with Romanian doina at Balkanik Festival

Doina Revival” show powered by Roots Revival is a musical project initiated by Mehdi Aminian young Iranians artist, which is to be presented on the stage of Balkanik Festival due at Uranus Garden and The Ark in Bucharest September 11-13.

The show is designed around the Romanian doina concept, mixed with the Iranian traditional instruments, rejoining artists from Romania, Iran and Spain.

Thus, the show is performed by Romanian Maria Casandra Hausi as leading voice, known as the ambassador of the Romanian doina, Iranian Mehdi Aminian (voice, ney, sitar) who is also the founder of the Roots Revival Romania musical project, Spanish Marti Hosta (percussion), Romanian Iosua Galev (piano, finger board), Iranian Zabih Vahid (kamancheh) along other guests.

Passes at discount prices worth RON 85 (valid for three days) are available until September 10 in Eventim network and at eventbook.ro.

The bands confirmed for the Balkanik Festival so far are Fanfare Ciocarlia (Romania), Roots Revival Romania, Shantel & Bucovina Club Orkestar (Germany), Kocani Orkestra (Macedonia), Ivo Papasov & Has Wedding Band (Bulgaria), Kalyi Jag (Hungary), Lemon Bucket Orkestra (Canada) and Amsterdam Klezmer Band (The Netherlands).
