Judicial Inspection to check all big corruption files pending before courts, including before the Supreme Court

The Judicial Inspection will carry out a targeted inspection on the big corruption files pending before the courts this year. The check will be conducted in all courts of appeal and cachement courts, including military courts, as well as at the High Court of Cassation and Justice (Romania’s Supreme Court).

The Judicial Inspection says the checks are targeting corruption files where public officials are investigated  (MPs, minister, secretaries of state, heads of central administrative authorities, prefects, county and local councilors), or where the prejudice is higher then RON 50,000.

The inspection report will be forwarded to the judge section within the Superior Council of Magistracy by April 19, 2019.
