Lithuanian group owning Hilton Garden Inn in Bucharest plan to open one more hotel near Otopeni airport

The Apex Alliance group based in Lithuania, which owns the Hilton Garden Inn Bucharest Old Town in Bucharest, is about to open its second unit of the 4-star division of the Hilton brand this summer. The new hotel will be located near Otopeni/Henri Coanda International Airport and will be managed by Anca Mădălina Cristea.

With a 13-year expertise in the hospitality sector, Anca Mădălina Cristea has previously been general manager of MGallery by Sofitel Tarčin Forest Resort & Spa in Sarajevo (Bosnia Herzegovina) and of K+K Elisabeta hotel in Bucharest.

Hilton Garden Inn Bucharest Airport is located 150m away from the Henri Coanda/Otopeni airport and 18km away from the Capital’s centre. The hotel has 218 rooms, 5 conference halls, a terrace restaurant, a fitness room and a 24-hour shop.

The first Hilton Garden Inn in Romania was opened in the Capital’s old centre in early January 2018.

In August last year, europaproperty.com informed that Apex Alliance will invest EUR 90 million in four new hotels in Romania, which will operate under Marriot International and Hilton World Wide brands.

Among the four new hotels, two will be located near the old town – Moxy by Marriott (119 rooms) and Autograph by Marriott (214 rooms) – one will be in close proximity to the capital’s Henri Coanda International Airport – The Hilton Garden Inn (204 rooms) – and the fourth one will be located in the city’s Pipera-Floreasca district – Courtyard by Marriott (259 rooms).
