MEP Sorin Moisa, who negotiated the trade agreement between the EU and CETA, wrote on Saturday that he has resigned from the Social-Democratic Party (PSD), claiming that under the leadership of Liviu Dragnea, PSD has regained the reflexes of the national-communist years, and incompetence is transformed in pretext of false national pride. He also wrote that he would resign from the Social-democrat Group in the EP, because in recent years, many parties in the group have shifted to a radical left with which he has no affinities. He also wrote about the TelDrum case that although Liviu Dragnea innocence might be revealed at the end of the lawsuit, his position at the head of the party and parliament has become unsustainable anywhere in the civilized world and the association of OLAF-DNA is devastating and makes ridiculous the theory of the so-called “parallel and illegitimate state”.
“Turning Brussels into an enemy is a form of mystification, turning the polarity of responsibility upside down is wrong. The perception regarding Romania can only change through performance, through the quality of its political and administrative elite,” the MEP wrote.
