Mihai Ghyka, heir of Prince Grigore Ghica, appointed state secretary with the Culture Ministry

Mihai Ghyka, descendant of the last ruler of Moldavia, Grigore Ghica, was appointed State Secretary with the Culture Ministry. He had occupied before the position of president and general manager with Bergenbier, and for two years he had managed an important segment of Vodafone.
Mihai Ghyka, aged 44, was appointed State Secretary with the Ministry of Culture, according to a decision published on Thursday in the Official Gazette. He will address, among other things, the management of low-performing institutions.
Mihai Ghyka is known for his career in the private sector. He immigrated to Canada before the fall of communism in 1989, he returned to the country to work with major companies operating in the country – Bergenbier and Vodafone, and set up a marketing consulting firm.
