As of June 2, Turkey’s leading low cost airline Pegasus Airlines will operate regular flights from International Airport in Cluj bound for Istanbul (Turkey), with a frequency of three flights per week, a press release informs.
Pegasus Airlines flights to Istanbul will be operated on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from the second airport of the capital of Turkey, Sabiha Gokcen International Airport.
Pegasus Airlines is the top low-cost airline in Turkey with a total network of 103 destinations in 40 countries.
Cluj County Council President, Marius Manzat believes that the entry of new airlines on Cluj International Airport will bring a new dynamic to tourism and trade in the area.
This year, from the “Avram Iancu” International Airport will be operated scheduled passenger flights of Tarom, Lufthansa, Wizz Air, LOT Polish Airlines, Blue Air, Vueling and Pegasus Airlines.
Announcing its financial results for 2015, Pegasus Airlines disclosed a 13 percent increase in its sales revenue compared to 2014 to reach 3.49 billion TL. Pegasus’ earnings before tax, interest, amortization and rental costs (EBITDAR) rose to 679 million TL, growing by 13 percent year-on-year. The number of guests carried in 2015 also grew by 13 percent year-on-year, driving up to 22.34 million guests.
