Opposition parties USR, PNL ask for parliamentary inquiry on the last budget amendment

USR and PNL, the main Opposition parties in the Romanian Parliament, asked for a parliamentary inquiry on the positive budget amendments carried undertaken by Dancila government in November 2018.

We would like to know how has the Finance Ministry conducted a POSITIVE budget amendment in November 2018 when the economic figures show that the only option for a budget amendment was NEGATIVE”, reads a USR press release.

The makeover of a state’s economic figures is a criminal matter, even if the PSD-ALDE legal experts have tried to absolve the signatories of guilt. We would like to know the real figures of the Romanian economy, how big is the disaster that Dragnea-Valcov-Teodorovici have dragged us into and what are the reasons that make them bring Romania on the verge of an economic catastrophe. Arithmetic has a great sin: eventually, somewhere, figures won’t assemble, no matter how creative is the accountancy that Valcov and Teodorovici propose to us. The fact that the deficit of the 2019 draft budget has increased by RON 1.3 billion, over night, provides a clue that Dancila government is operating with rigged figures,” says the press release.
