PM Ciolos attends the informal EU-Turkey summit and the European Council

Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos is to attend on Monday the EU-Turkey summit at the informal meeting of the European Council members, and is to meet on Tuesday with European Council President Donald Tusk and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. PM Ciolos is to travel to The Hague afterwards, the government informs.
On Tuesday Prime Minister Dacian Cioloş will meet with European Council President Donald Tusk, on which occasion they will review the internal developments of the European Union, focusing on the economy, jobs, the refugee crisis, Schengen space, the EU-UK relationship, the Energy Union.
Discussions will focus on the EU external issues, such as the Eastern neighbourhood, Moldova and Syria.
Romanian Prime Minister’s programme will continue with a meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, an opportunity to discuss issues of regional security, NATO’s presence in Eastern Europe, the Black Sea region, the EU-NATO strategic relationship.
During his visit to Brussels PM Dacian Cioloş will meet on Tuesday with representatives of the Romanian community in Belgium.
Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos was mandated to go to Brussels at the summit with Turkey at the European Council members meeting because President Klaus Iohannis is paying a six-day state visit to Israel and Palestine.
