Prime Minister, Viorica Dancila, has announced on Thursday a positive budgetary rectification.
“We have registered additional revenues to the consolidated state budget of almost RON 6 billion,” Prime Minister Dancila said at the beginning of the Government sitting on Thursday.
The Premier added that the ordinance on budgetary rectification will be adopted in the second half of the month.
The budget rectification has been postponed for August 14, according to Realitatea TV private broadcaster. Earlier on Thursday, the PSD and ALDE leaders, Liviu Dragnea and Calin Popescu Tariceanu have had talks with PM Dancila at Victoria Palace on the issue of budget rectification.
If the rectification takes place on August 14, it remains to be seen if PM Dancila will attend the Government sitting, as she announced earlier this week she will be on vacation during August 6-13 and will be replaced by Deputy PM Paul Stanescu.
Details on the budget rectifications will be released Thursday evening.
In another development, the Premier announced that the state employees will benefit of two days off, on August 16 and 17, thus linking them to August 15, when the Assumption of Virgin Mary is celebrated. In this way, state employees will have a 5-day holiday, the weekend considered.
“We have good news for state employees. We will have a short vacation in the second half of August, as August 15, the Assumption of Virgin Mary is day off, we have decided that August 16 and 17 to be days off, in order to offer Romanians several days for rest. Exception will be made for activities that cannot be interrupted, magistrates, law courts, staff involved in lawsuits having as deadline August 16-17 and, of course, the participants in the lawsuits,” PM Dancila said.
The days off will be recovered later.
