PM Dancila presents Gov’t 6-month balance sheet today

PM Viorica Dancila will present the balance sheet of the Executive today, after six months since she became prime minister. Ruling PSD chairman Liviu Dragnea has stated on Sunday evening that the most important measures adopted by her Cabinet will be presented on Monday.

He voiced hope that every minister of Dancila Cabinet will present this summer the measures taken by the ministry he or she leads, for the avoidance of doubt and to counter some negative voices claiming the Government has done nothing.

In the coming period, I hope this summer, every minister will come up and present these things. There have been plenty of measures taken and ministers should present their good actions. I hear a negative background noise that nothing has been done and that’s why they must communicate what they have done based on the ruling programme. There is no minister in this government who cannot present something. There is no economic or social field in Romania where measures would have not been implemented,” Dragnea told Romania TV.

The SocDem chair also stated that, after employees have higher salaries, pensioners have decent incomes and companies in Romania earn more, people will be happier and it will be more difficult for such a people to be manipulated. He explained this is the only reason for which “these ones” are criticizing the ruling party and are launching attacks against him.

Without nominating who are “these ones”, Dragnea further said that ‘they’ don’t want Romanians to live well and ‘sow the seed of hate’.

As for the protest meeting announced by the Romanians from Diaspora on August 10, Dragnea said he will not prevent it, but argued there will not been 1 million protesters as announced.
