Newly appointed Justice minister, Ana Birchall, will be also interim deputy PM for strategic partnerships following President Iohannis’ denial to appoint Titus Corlatean for this position. Vaslui PSD leader Dumitry Buzatu told journalists after the ruling party’s meeting today that the current deputy PM Viorel Stefan will resign by July 1.

Buzatu also said that PSD will come up with a proposal for the vacant position of deputy PM, to also be suitable for President Iohannis.

Mass media has previously reported that Finance Minister Eugen Teodorovici is also in the cards for the deputy PM seat.
