The Chamber of Deputies has validated on Wednesday the mandates of 326 deputies out of 329, including Liviu Dragnea. Among the three not yet validated, because they did not have all the necessary documents, there is Andreea Cosma – daughter of Mircea Cosma (former Prahova County Council chairman) who is sent to court. She ran seventh on the list in Prahova, where PSD won five seats, but would become deputy following the withdrawal of two of them, hotnews.ro reports.

The report of the mandates Validation Committee was approved by 243 votes ‘for’ and 30 ‘against’, according to Agerpres. Those who voted against were the Save Romania Union (USR) members.

“The first reason is the validation of Mr. Dragnea. Article 7 paragraph 3 reads: the Validation Committee does not validate people who were sentenced by final judicial ruling for offenses related to the electoral process. There are also three persons – Mr. Roman, Mrs. Cataniciu and Mrs. Furtuna – who have incompatibility issues,” USR leader Nicusor Dan stated from the rostrum.

The other two deputies who lacked all documents are Razvan Ion Ursu (who ran sixth for PSD in Prahova) and Furic Iarco (minorities).
