Dan Barna, chairman of the Save Romania Union (USR) and former PM Dacian Cioloş, leader of Romania Together, are having negotiations for the European Parliament elections, with the two parties talking to have common lists for the EP elections next spring.
Dacian Ciolos’ movement is to register as a political party in the shortest time. The meeting with Dan Barna took place in a restaurant in Bucharest, Digi24 reports.
The latest opinion polls show that the two parties have real chances to score better if they collaborate for the EP elections.
After he left the PM position, Dacian Ciolos had several attempts to collaborate or even to join USR, but there were opponent voices every time.
