Constitutional Court rejects the complaints raised by Valeriu Zgonea
The Constitutional Court has rejected on Tuesday the two complaints submitted by the former Chamber of Deputies Speaker Valeriu Zgonea on changing the lower chamber’s regulation and his removal from office.
“On the Regulation we have unanimously rejected the extrinsic reasons and the intrinsic reasons by majority of votes. We also rejected by majority of votes the decision to vacant the office,” said interim CCR president Valer Dorneanu.
The CCR official agenda included the complaints filed by Valeriu Zgonea as speaker of the Chamber of Deputies on the decision on amending Regulation of the Chamber of Deputies and on vacating of the position of speaker.
