Date of local elections ballot in 2016 has been set by the Gov’t

The government has approved the Permanent Electoral Authority’s proposal for organizing the local elections at the beginning of June, digi24.ro informs.
Thus the ballot for local elections is set got June 5, 2016; consequently the electoral campaign will start on May 6, 2016, the Government General Secretariat informs.
“The Government of Romania adopts this decision. Art. 1 – June 5, 2016 is set as the date for local elections in 2016. Art. 2 – This Decision shall enter into force on March 22, 2016,” the release reads.
With 30 days before the ballot, the number of electoral districts, the delimitation and the numbering of each polling station and their offices are to be made public.
