Daniel Suciu and Răzvan Cuc have sworn in as ministers of Regional Development and Transports at Cotroceni Presidential Palace on Friday after the head of state had given them green light. Klaus Iohannis had repeatedly rejected PM Dancila’s previous proposal for these portfolios.

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by President Iohannis, deputy PM Viorel Stefan and ministers Foreign Affairs and Finances, Teodor Melescanu and Eugen Teodorovici. PM Dancila is not in Romania as she left to Madrid to attend the European Socialists Congress.

President Iohannis made no statement after the swearing-in ceremony, but he convened a press conference at 11:30hr.
