Dragnea told the party the exit-polls on Sunday will show 37-39% for PSD, former PM Victor Ponta says
Pro Romania leader, former Prime Minister Victor Ponta (photo), said Wednesday evening he’s been told by former PSD colleagues that Liviu Dragnea announced them the exit-poll on Sunday will point to 37-39% for his party.
“I am sure Dragnea has already announced the party… I know very well what goes on in PSD, I have colleagues and friends there, he announced them: I’ve already talked about this, the exit-poll will show we have 37-39%. I hope that those conducting the exit-poll will avoid this. They’ve probably told him ‘yes, Mr. Dragnea, don’t worry.’ I hope they deliver fair information. As former PSD member, I’ve had the experience to win the exit-polls and actually lose. This time, the pressure is high on PSD regarding the exit-poll, it is related to Dragnea’s intention to announce his candidacy for the presidential office. I don’t want to accuse anyone without evidence, I hope those people conducting the exit-poll will do their job fairly,” Victor Ponta told Digi 24 TV private broadcaster.
Up to date, the Central Electoral Bureau (BEC) has registered only one request for accreditation in view of conducting an exit-poll, from CURS and Avangarde, the source informs.
