European Commissioner for Regional Policy Corina Cretu has signed on Monday the adhesion to the Pro Romania Party, led by former Prime Minister Victor Ponta.

“I have decided, after 30 years of politics, to leave the party I have started with, with the conviction that the current leadership has gone astray from the citizens’ actual needs and from the European values. I believe that the only option is Pro Romania – the party which best reflects the values I believe in: solidarity, concern for citizens, competence, professionalism and balanced economic vision. Tomorrow, at 18.30h, at the Pro Romania offices, we will announce the entire team to run in the elections for European Parliament,” Cretu wrote on Facebook on Monday.

Corina Cretu will top the Pro Romania list for European elections, according to an announcement made some time ago by Victor Ponta.
