The European Parliament released a 4 minute film today, urging people to vote in the EP elections on June 6-9. The clip is created around the idea that grandparents from several European countries, including Romania, sent a message to their grandchildren explaining how they escaped alive from the hands of the Nazis or Communists, and urging them to keep democracy alive by casting their vote.
“Democracy is a precious gift, passed on to us from previous generations. Use your vote at the European elections from 6 to 9 June 2024”, the EP says.
In Romania, the European elections will be held on June 9, at the same time as the local elections.
The film ends with the inscription “Use your vote or others will decide for you”.
