Commenting a journalist’s Facebook post, former head of the Financial Supervision Authority (ASF), Misu Negritoiu, claimed that the PM-designate Mihai Tudose would have asked him to name one of his nieces as director in the Authority.

The request would have been done during an Iasi-Bucharest flight where Tudose and Negritoiu have accidentally met. “I met him once on a night flight from Iasi to Bucharest, bug eyed, probably after a party with the PSD local organization, when he ironically called me <Mr. President>who is never calling on the Parliament, and finally asked me <to name his niece director>. He told me to call him. I didn’t, so they called me for hearings in October 2016 in the famous committee they were chairing. Predictable, they voted to ask for my resignation. Briefly and without too many comments. Braila procedure (Tudose comes from Braila county), which led to revocation in the end. The debates in that sitting deserve to be re-examined. They tell all about the man’s expertize,” Negritoiu wrote while commenting a post of a journalist from Profit.ro.

Later on, also in a Facebook post, Negritoiu slammed media for taking over his statements. “This is not allowed. My comment was on a private Facebook account and its release needed my consent,” ASF ex-president argued.

However, media representatives retorted that his post was public, available to everyone, and he didn’t use the private messenger service to express his views.

The Parliament unanimously voted for Mişu Negriţoiu’s dismissal from the Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF) helm in May.
