Former PM Dacian Ciolos has said that, in order to topple down Dancila Government, the opposition parties must come up with a coherent ruling programme. Ciolos said that President Iohannis would be more involved as well, but the head of state must first see some consistency of the lawmakers.

The former technocrat prime minister argued that the best solution would be the early elections if a no-confidence vote passed.

I think it would be better in the future that such censure motions would not be filed just to send a political message, but also to actually toppled down the government and to have a common goal to rule and to propose a ruling programme. I think the President will get involved more if he sees he has a clear and coherent coalition of the opposition, able to attract other MPs’ endorsement“, Ciolos told Digi24.
