Firea’s husband, Florentin Pandele to run for Presidency

Florentin Pandele, mayor of Voluntari (a little locality in Ilfov county, near Bucharesr), who is also husband of Bucharest general mayor Gabriela Firea, has announced on Thursday night he will run for Presidency as an independent, stressing that his wife does not want this position.
“I decided to run for Presidency as an independent, I have made no plan (…) I have been mayor for 19 years, attended numerous campaigns. Gabi (e.n. Gariela Firea) has repeatedly said she will not run. I am running on behalf of me, as father of my children, I want them to live in a free country, where terror should not be established,” Pandele told Romania Tv.
Former PSD chairman Liviu Dragnea has said on Sunday that an analysis is needed to see which candidate is more suitable, from ALDE or from PSD, mentioning Gabriela Firea and Calin Popescu Tariceanu.
In retort, Firea said she doesn’t want to run for Presidency.
