Former PM Ciolos in Brussels, to meet EC President Juncker, EC and EPP officials
Former Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos has started a visit in Brussels on Monday and is to meet the European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and EC Vice-President Valdis Dombrovskis, commissioner for the EUR and Social Dialogue, in the context of debates on the pathways for the future European Union.
Before departing, Ciolos has had talks with PM Sorin Grindeanu about the visit and various topics of interest, adevarul.ro reports.
On Monday, besides the talks with the EC top officials, Dacian Ciolos will have talks with European Commissioners Phil Hogan and Johannes Hahn, in charge with agriculture and rural development and European neighbourhood policies respectively.
On Tuesday, the former PM will meet the European People’s Party President Joseph Daul and the European Commissioner for climate and energy, Miguel Arias Cañete.
On March 22 Ciolos will meet the President of the European Parliament Antonio Tajani, with the First Vice-President of the European Commission Frans Timmermans, with the EC Vice-President Jyrki Katainen and with European Commissioner for Budget and Human Resources Günter Öttinger.
In the last two days of the visit, Ciolos will have various meetings with NGOs in Brussels and other European officials.
