Sources say French President Francois Hollande and PM Dacian Ciolos will inaugurate the helicopter plant in Ghimbav.
Airbus Helicopters has recently set up in Romania the Airbus Helicopters Industries branch which will deal with the building of the assembly line of the H215 helicopters.
The first helicopter will be built in Romania in 2017 and by 2020 some 20 helicopters are to be built per year.
The most recent meeting of the Romanian and French presidents took place in Paris in July.
The visit of the French head of state was announced in Bucharest on June 16 by Harlem Desir, secretary of state within the French Ministry of European Affairs. “President Francois Hollande will come to Romania on September 12-13. We are actively preparing this visit,” said the French official during a joint press conference with the Romanian FM Lazar Comanescu.
