Gov’t approves second budget rectification
The second budget rectification this year was approved by the Government on Wednesday, with a budget deficit of 2.96% of GDP, a communiqué from the Executive informs.
According to the cited source, the second budget rectification was approved, given the figures showing an economic growth of 6.1% against 5.6% as it was estimated in the first budget rectification and 5.2% as it was initially estimated for the budget for 2017.
The executive said the estimated nominal GDP has increased from RON 837.2 billion to RON 842.5 billion. The revenues of the general consolidated budget have increased by RON 280.2 million, and the expenditures of the general consolidated budget increase, by RON 503.8 million.
“This budget rectification provides additional funds for the payment of salary rights established by court decisions in favour of pre-university teachers, financing of the child protection system and the payment of the rights of persons with disabilities, the payment of military pensions and wage rights to medical staff, financing of health programs,” the communiqué reads.
