Gov’t Wanted to Allot 700,000 Lei for CCR Judges’ Medication
The Constitutional Court of Romania (CCR) intended to buy medicines for current and former judges using money allocated to the institution through the state budget adopted by the Government, accuses USR deputy Claudiu Năsui. Following an amendment submitted, parliamentarians from the Budget Committee decided to eliminate the said amount from the budget for 2025, according to Năsui.
“I asked the Constitutional Court a simple question: what kind of social assistance expenses do they have of almost 1 million lei? The answer came clear, that they want to buy medicines for current and former CCR judges and CCR employees. Not for nothing, but the prices of medicines have kept rising. That’s exactly what they told us,” Claudiu Năsui wrote on Facebook on Tuesday.
