Hungarian PM Orban congratulates Romanian PM Orban. Donald Tusk sends congratulatory text message in Romanian
President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, has posted a congratulatory message in Romanian on Twitter, congratulating Ludovic Orban for being invested as PM. Tusk has also sent a letter to the new Romanian PM, wishing him “good luck”.
„Îl felicit pe Ludovic Orban pentru numirea sa ca Prim Ministru al Romȃniei. Contez pe rolul pozitiv al guvernului său în sprijinul interesului şi unităţii europene./ I congratulate Ludovic Orban on the appointment as Prime Minister of
#Romania. I count on your government’s positive role in support of European interest and unity,” Tusk tweeted.
In his turn Hungarian PM Viktor Orban, having the same last name with the new Romanian premier, has also sent a letter to Ludovic Orban, congratulating him for taking office as PM and voicing hope for a constructive cooperation.
“I can assure you that Hungary is ready to cooperate with the new Romanian government in the spirit of mutual respect and of the common interests of the two countries”, says the Hungarian PM, who also voiced intention to work together with his Romanian counterpart “in a constructive spirit to deepen the Hungarian-Romanian ties, and for a successful European Union, based on strong nations.”
