Klaus Iohannis has told an electoral meeting in Bacau on Friday at the end of the electoral campaign for the second round of presidential election that it is “a big trap” for people to think that PSD has changed after it got rid of Liviu Dragnea. Iohannis stressed that PSD is the same party that “wants to seize everything that moves in Romania”.
“I seldom hear some people talking that still it seems that PSD is not that bad anymore since it has got rid of Dragnea. My dear ones, it is a big trap. Don’t believe it”, Iohannis told voters.
The incumbent president stated that “PSD has dominated the Romanian political stage, with small exceptions, in those 30 years since we got rid of communism”, yet warning that “we haven’t got rid of all communists, there are few more left”.
Iohannis called on Romanian to cast “a strong vote” in the runoff that will remove PSD “from the buttons so that Romania can finally breathe and recover”. “Many wonder what does a vote count? It’s everything. And the heroes of the elections are not the politicians, but the Romanians who have the voting stamp in their hand, the ones who decide our Romania’s future”.
Iohannis made a review of his campaign, saying it was a very good one and he was lucky to have a very good campaign team. “I interacted with several tens of thousands of Romanians, so a very intense and very good campaign. To draw a line and gather what Romanians want, I can tell you very clearly: Romanians want to get rid of the PSD,” Klaus Iohannis stated.
“The choice is simple: it’s either me or PSD. What do you vote?”, Iohannis ended his campaign.
