The Russian ambassador in Bucharest, Valeri Kuzmin, ironically commented on his summons to the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, claiming that “it was the vaguest approach” encountered during his stay in Romania and that he could “only guess” why he was summoned.

Kuzmin was summoned to the MFA at the end of the week, after the statements of the spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, were published on the Facebook page of the Russian Embassy, as a reaction to the European Parliament’s resolution regarding the return of Romania’s treasure illegally appropriated by Russia.

These are unnecessary actions from the MFA that put Romania in the sentimental black books of the Russ. For crying out load, be honourable in your actions.
