Korea, Romania to implement Visa Waiver agreement as of March 13

Republic of Korea and Romania will start implementing their agreement regarding the Visa Waiver next month, a decision expected to stimulate economic cooperation, the Foreign Ministry in Seoul has announced on Monday.
The two parties signed last year the bilateral agreement on extending the Visa Waiver programme, expected to come into force on March 13, 2016, capital.ro reports.
According to the agreement, businessmen and labourers from R. of Korea could travel to Romania and stay in the country for 180 days, the same conditions being valid for Romanian businessmen travelling to Korea as well.
Hitherto, only the South-Koreans and Romanians travelling for non-profit purposes were excepted from visas, for a period of 90 days.
